To be included in the next version:
- settings file names will appear in the title bar when open or saved (completed)
- ability to chose to mirror or skip over registry files (completed)
- ability to create destination path if it does not already exist (completed)
- ability to exclude mirroring files based on number of years/months/days from current date (in progress)
- ability to mirror junction points; these are similar to shortcuts but more advanced and common in Windows Vista/2008/7
Planned for a subsequent version:
- ability to mirror files and folders that the user cannot access, i.e., gain access to files and folders, but only if the user has administrative rights to do so
- ability to mirror registry files in 64-bit Windows
- when mirroring/previewing, current settings file name is displayed in the title bar and/or mirroring status window
- a decrease of mirroring time up to 50% (taking advantage of larger amounts of computer memory)
- automirroring: QuickMirror can run continuously, sensing when a change is made to the source folder and mirror the changes
- new log options: command line switch to specify log file name, incremental log file option (new log file names are created with different names automatically), logging errors to a separate log file
- option to mirror only specified files/folders, allowing use of wildcards
